    • cheaper: used Canon PowerShot / other used point-and-shoots
    • photo: Ricoh GR III ($966) or IIIx ($1046)
      • the III has a fixed 28mm lens whereas the IIIx has a 40mm lens
    • huge zoom range: Sony RX100 VII ($1298)
    • video: Canon Powershot V1 ($899)
      • the Sony ZV-1 MK II has worse handling, no stabilisation, and a smaller 1” sensor while being around the same price
    • durable: OM-System TG-7 ($549 $499)
  • interchangeable lens: Lumix GX850 (discontinued, find it used) + any M43 pancake lens
    • even smaller: Lumix GM1 or GM5 (discontinued, find it used)

The Lumix GX850 (or the GX800 / GF9 depending on your region) is a bit larger and has 4K video recording. However, it has a plastic build and uses a microSD card slot. The GM1 is smaller with a metal build and uses standard SD cards. Note that the GM1 is usually more expensive as well!

  • video: DJI Pocket 3 ($519 for standalone, $669 for Creator Combo)
  • camcorder: Sony CX405 ($298)

If the Olympus TG-6 is cheaper, get that as it is IDENTICAL to the TG-7
